PGMA's Seven Curses

During PGMA’s last (isn’t that presumptuous?) State of the Nati0n Address or SONA, a group of†former senior government officials from her own administration have issued their own SONA. †These FSGOs as they’ve been collectively known enumerated what they labeled as the ëíseven curses brought upon the Philippinesî by PGMA.

  1. Eroding the independence of the Supreme Court
  2. Turning local governments into puppets
  3. Buying off the military and police hierarchy
  4. Militarizing the bureaucracy
  5. Cultivating a Malacanang wing of the [Catholic] church
  6. Destruction of constitutional bodies
  7. Usurping the House of Representatives

It is now obvious that these FSGOs have counted too soon, as new and equally despicable curses have since been added barely two months since the SONA.

This is my actually my very first post here in AboutPH. †I’ve been invited to be a regular contributor about two weeks ago and after intense meditation I finally yielded to the call. †Crap. †That sounded too melodramatic. †Actually, I was reluctant to join as this is an entirely voluntary engagement. †In other words, I am not going to get paid for writing in this Website. †So what the f*ck is in it for me?

I was told (I am yet to test if it will really hold water) that I will be given “a lot of room” to express myself. †Now that is something. There is a caveat though. †I will be solely responsible for what I write.

And they wouldn’t let me properly spell f*ck, sh*t, or *ssh*l*! †As if †replacing the vowels with asterisks or dashes will conceal what these words really are. †F*ck*ng crazy rules!

My friends in AboutPH are such a pain in the *ss, aren’t they? †Perhaps that’s why they are my friends. We are a bunch of *ssh*l*s!

For my very first post for the Politics section of AboutPH, one of The Editors gave me a very specific instruction to explain what my by line, Web Parliamentarian, means. †But I am so not in the f*ck*ng mood to do that now so please bear with me. †I promise to do it some time soon.
