Basic Facts

The Ibanag language is spoken by up to half a million Filipinos.

Ibanag also refers to the people who speak the language, i.e the Ibanag pople.  They are found mostly in the northeastern provinces of Isabela and Cagayan, particularly in Tuguegarao City, Solana, Cabagan, and Ilagan.

Ibanag speakers can be found from almost all towns of Cagayan and Isabela, although Ilocano is the more predominantly spoken language in Isabela.
