“Sulyap sa Balangay” by Leandro de la Torre, Jr.
    • Nilagdaan ng may kapangyarihan,
    • Sa noo’y ipinako ng sanlibutan,
    • Pinabulaanan ng maysala,
    • Pinagbabato ng salapi ang dukha.
    • Nang tiniklop ang papel ng pag-asa,
    • Isinabay sa patak ng indelible ink ang tadhana,
    • Siya ngang pinarangalan ng madla,
    • Punong Balangay, kusa ka nga bang pinagpala?
    • Balotang nangangamoy malansa,
    • Di halos masikmura ang resulta,
    • Pinangos nga ba? o sadyang hinalukay ube?
    • Hasain mo ang panulat, hanggat sa huling sandali.
