NLEX-Novaliches Flyover

Aerial photograph of the section of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) near its starting point at the boundary of Quezon City and Caloocan City.

This particular section in the photo is where the flyovers to and from Novaliches connect  with NLEX. About 100-200 meters to the south is the actual starting point of NLEX where it becomes Bonifacio Avenue going South West to Manila, and where it connects with EDSA via the Balintawak cloverleaf.

Photo Details:

  • Date Taken: August 16, 2011
  • Camera Used: Canon EOS 50D, with a Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5 zoom lens

SOMETIME in mid-August 2011, photography enthusiast Caloy Llamas ”hitchhiked” into a helicopter ride that brought him to the skies over Metro Manila and much of Central Luzon. The views from the top were too tempting for Caloy to simply pass by without snapping some photos. “My friend was shooting a few infrastructure sites for a multinational company and I merely tagged along, to act as a back-up in case, and as a mentoring exercise for me as well. So, I was pretty much free to shoot anything I saw and felt shooting at along our route.”

This post is part of a series featuring Caloy‘s August 16, 2011 aerial photos of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, and possibly some portions of Bataan.
